Questions
Google review link questions
Is this tool free?
Yes. There’s no signup, and nothing you type is sent to us. The link and QR code are made in your browser.
Where do I find my Place ID?
Use Google’s Place ID Finder: search for your business name and address, and copy the ID shown on the map. It usually starts with “ChIJ”.
Will my review link ever stop working?
Place IDs rarely change, but Google can update one when a listing is moved or merged. Test your link once or twice a year.
Does the QR code expire?
No. It’s a static code that points straight at your Google review link, with no redirect service in between.
Is a Google Business Profile the same as Google My Business?
Yes. Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile in 2021. Your review link works the same either way.
Can I offer a discount in exchange for reviews?
No. Google’s review policies don’t allow incentives for reviews. Ask every customer, make it easy, and let the reviews come in on their own.
